|UKTI is sponsoring a Trade Mission of British companies to GLOBE 2014. Led by Minister of State for Trade & Investment, Lord Livingston, delegates will showcase a range of innovative products and services in sectors as diverse as green construction, sustainable technologies, low carbon solutions, environmental monitoring, consulting, and more.
UK trade mission delegates at GLOBE will be aiming to expand their business in Canada and other international markets. Delegates’ will be seeking to identify potential business partners and representatives, and connecting with potential clients in sectors such as engineering, construction, energy policy and planning, manufacturing, and infrastructure.
UK Trade & Investment is the government organisation that helps UK-based companies succeed in an increasingly global economy and also assists overseas companies to bring high quality investment to the UK’s economy. We focus on the sectors and markets where we can add the most value, including high growth emerging markets; innovative and R&D intensive business; and high value sectors, such as low-carbon technologies, ICT, financial services, energy and advanced engineering.

The British pavilion will again welcome a UK trade mission to GLOBE. Participating UK companies will showcase a wide range of innovative products and services with sustainable applications. These include energy management systems; low carbon building materials; heat recovery systems; efficient motor and generator technology; reusable packaging materials; and translation services specifically aimed at corporate sustainability reporting. A few of the Mission delegates will be launching their newest initiatives at GLOBE 2014.
Across industries and between the public and private sector, the UK promotes effective partnerships enabling businesses to identify multiple pathways to energy and resource efficiency. A strong regulatory framework is also influencing business thinking, driving efficiency, minimising costs and increasing the UK’s competitiveness for domestic and international opportunities.
