|Let's Talk Energy - Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation|
|Province / State|
|Let’s Talk Energy is an "energy literacy" initiative, inviting all Canadians to learn about energy systems, and to explore the relationship between energy, the economy and the environment, in Canada and globally.
This initiative brings together a network of partners and advisors to help engage the public on energy topics, supporting them in making informed choices. Its goals are to:
- Improve energy literacy in Canada;
- Encourage Canadians to participate in the dialogue on Canada's energy future;
- Engage Canadians in the important role science and technology plays and has played in shaping Canada’s energy past, present and future.
Let's Talk Energy was launched at the World Energy Congress in 2010, and has reached hundreds of thousands of Canadians through exhibits, programming, a web site, social media, and most recently Canada's first ever energy awareness week, Let's Talk Energy Week, which took place from February 21-28, 2014.
Let's Talk Energy is led by the Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation, an organization responsible for three national S&T museums in Ottawa Canada.
|Product Service Offerings:|
|As a national institution within the Canadian Heritage Portfolio of the Government of Canada, the Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation is responsible for preserving and protecting Canada’s scientific and technological heritage and promoting and sharing knowledge about that heritage. The Corporation and its three Museums — the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, the Canada Aviation and Space Museum, and the Canada Science and Technology Museum — tell the stories of Canadian ingenuity and achievement in science and technology, and demonstrate how these accomplishments have contributed to the building of our country.
By preserving and celebrating the scientific and technological heritage of Canada through research activities, exhibitions, and public programs, the Corporation fosters a sense of identity and pride on the part of all Canadians in their achievements in science and technology.
|Business Development Objectives|
|The Canada Science and Technology Museum Corporation’s three Museums rely on contributions from partners in order to operate effectively. We need access to expertise, content, and funding from industry, academia and all levels of government in order to build the national science and technology collection, and to prepare engaging exhibits and programs for visitors across Canada.
Our partners become involved with the Museums and their properties for many reasons, including exposure to our visitors, wide-ranging coverage in our media campaigns, and creative business-to-business and employee benefits programs. We provide high quality and high profile platforms to family and school audiences. Partnering with the museums, and with Let's Talk Energy, is an excellent way to meet your business and marketing objectives.
