Andrea’s visionary leadership and stellar results earned her a coveted position on the 2012 WXN Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards.
Andrea embraces a triple bottom line approach to business, focusing on the social, economic and environmental impact of the numerous programs she oversees. Her commitment to creating intelligent and environmentally sustainable work spaces and implementing socially responsible work practices have contributed to TELUS earning national and global recognition that includes Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures in Canada for a six-year timeframe, a Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporation three times, placing 10th among the Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada and being named to the Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index for 12 consecutive years — a feat unequalled by any North American telecommunications or cable company.
Currently, Andrea is leading the construction of two significant Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum developments; TELUS Garden, a $750 million, one million square foot project featuring a 24-storey office tower and 53-storey residential tower in the heart of Vancouver, as well as TELUS Sky, a $400 million, 26-storey tower that will offer a unique blend of urban living and working in downtown Calgary.
