Nathan Maycher is a Professional Engineer and currently holds the position of Manager within the Environment and Sustainable Development Department at ConocoPhillips Canada, one of Canada’s largest oil and natural gas exploration and production companies. Nathan’s primary focus area is the leadership of the Sustainable Development Team, which holds accountability for strategic projects, reporting and employee engagement. Nathan is dedicated to embedding sustainability behavior, systems and processes across ConocoPhillips. Nathan’s prior role was leading a team which managed greenhouse gas policy advocacy, strategy development and risk management.
Nathan formally held the role of Senior Manager within the Sustainable Development Department at TransAlta, a Canadian based electricity generation company. Nathan’s primary focus areas were the management of TransAlta’s portfolio of international offset projects and air emission risk forecasting for the global fleet. Prior to that role, Nathan founded and worked as a Principal at Enwest Inc., a consulting company that delivered pragmatic solutions to the energy sector in the areas of greenhouse gas, air emissions and environmental strategy.
Nathan has a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering Co-op from the University of Alberta.
