As Vice President of Operations, Timon LeDain is responsible for the management of program delivery relating to the SD Tech Fund™, from applications review, screening and evaluation of detailed proposal submissions, contracting, and project management. The SD Tech Fund™ is a $900M Canadian Clean Technology Fund that supports the development and demonstration of pre-commercial technologies which provide solutions to issues of climate change, clean air, water and soil quality, and which deliver economic, environmental, and health benefits to Canadians.
Timon has over 20 years of experience in product engineering within the telecommunications, healthcare and consumer electronics industry. Prior to joining SDTC, Timon was the CTO and Vice President of Product Management for neuroLanguage Corp. Timon had a key role to play in the company’s growth and development, as he acquired product IP, built the product and content development team and launched a cloud based training suite with the top three Business Process Outsourcers in India.
Previously, Timon spent five years at March Healthcare Group, where he acted as Development Manager and Vice President of Engineering. In 2006, Timon facilitated the sale of March Healthcare to Intel Corporation. Earlier in his career, Timon founded his own consulting company, TICOM Inc. which was dedicated to providing business and product development expertise to Canadian and multinational high-tech corporations.
Timon holds a Bachelor of Science in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo and Masters of Business Administration from Queens University and is a Certified Management Accountant.
